Jurnal Arsitektur dan Ruang Kota (J-ARUKA) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the dissemination of research findings, critical scholarship, and design innovations in the fields of architecture and urban spatial planning. The journal serves as a platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to share intellectual contributions that advance the development of the built environment.

The evolving discourse in architecture, the built environment, and urban space requires a scholarly forum that can facilitate critical, open, and interdisciplinary exchanges of ideas. Global challenges such as climate change, rapid urbanization, the crisis of local identity, and the growing demand for sustainable development have positioned architectural research not as an isolated field, but as one that intersects closely with social sciences, technology, culture, and public policy.

The Department of Architecture, Universitas Lampung, initiated J-ARUKA to strengthen research culture, improve scholarly publication quality, and contribute meaningfully to architectural knowledge in Indonesia. J-ARUKA serves as a periodic outlet for lecturers, practitioners, and students, encouraging interdisciplinary research that integrates design, technology, social, and sustainability perspectives.
